Description:
This program gives individuals the chance to have a professional evaluation of their ability to safely operate a vehicle. Participants are tested for their vision, perceptual and cognitive capability, reaction times, as well as for their understanding of the rules of the road. An occupational therapist helps clients get the assessment and remedial help they need to ensure safe driving. The program also offers an educational component to help clients understand how personal health issues can affect driving safety.
Test results and recommendations are discussed with the participant and his or her doctor, as well as representatives of the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, with whom the final

We are currently unable to accommodate clients who cannot transfer independently into a car or require a modified vehicle. Such clients will be referred to another assessment centre.
Cost to Client:
Full driving assessment (in-office and on-road): $510
On-road Reassessment: $320

Eligibility Criteria
Criteria:
If you have a medical diagnosis or condition that may affect your ability to drive then you are eligible for a driving assessment.

A doctor's referral is required for you to be seen for an assessment. (even if MTO is requesting the assessment). Referral forms are available in the attached document.
