An Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) approved Functional Assessment Centre that supports individuals whose driving ability may be affected by physical, cognitive, or age-related changes. The program provides comprehensive in-office and on-road assessments to determine whether clients demonstrate functional driving skills, require driving rehabilitation, or should retire from driving. The program also offers evaluation and training for adaptive driving equipment. Services are delivered by an Occupational Therapist and Rehabilitation Driving Instructors using evidence-based practices. Information is provided regarding the MTO medical review process in the context of the MTO correspondence the individual has received to help guide their next steps.
- Must have a valid driver's licence (those with a suspended licence are eligible if MTO approval is given)
- Has a physical or cognitive condition that may impact ability to drive
