Description:
Provides similar service to the MSK Rehab program at St. Joseph's Health Centre Guelph. The primary difference is to expedite timely access to physiotherapy for clients who have no extended health insurance or are unable to afford private physiotherapy (ODSP and OW clients, for instance).
Conditions that are appropriate include:
- Neck and low back strains, soft tissue strains, degenerative disk or joint disease.

Eligibility Criteria
Criteria:
To be eligible to access physiotherapy a person must be:o insured under Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) and referred by a physician or nurse practitioner;o aged 65 years and older;o aged 19 years and younger;o recently discharged as an inpatient, a person admitted to and assigned a bed in a hospital in-patient area, and in need of physiotherapy clinic services that are directly connected to the condition, illness or injury for which the person was admitted to the hospital. ORReferred by a physician or nurse practitioner and is eligible for funding of services under the Ontario Disability Support (ODSP) or Ontario Works (OW) programs.In addition the person is not entitled to receive physiotherapy services for the same condition or diagnosis provided or funded by other Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care(ministry) or health system programs or through automotive insurance or the insurance plan established under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act.
