Service Details
Description:
The Good Companions – offers regular transportation to grocery stores for seniors and adults with physical disabilities within our catchment area. Door-to-door service with a helping hand on and off the van/bus. Meet new friends and share some laughs, while getting groceries.
Clients must be able to shop independently.
There are several grocery shopping transportation routes within our catchment area.

Cost to Client:
Transportation is free, delivery charges may apply at Grocery Store. Please see website for further details.

Minimum Age:
55 yrs
Criteria:
- Seniors (55+) and adults with physical disabilities (18+)
- All new clients must undergo a telephone intake prior to joining service.
- Client must also be able to manage physically with minimal assistance, such as an arm for stability. Please note that Wheelchairs and walkers cannot be transported.
- Service users must independently complete their shopping, minimal physical assistance can be given to board bus/van and in the store
