Service Details
Description:
The Overnight Stay Program is a service integrated into the Community Alzheimer Program offering planned, short stay respite for persons living with memory loss.

Stays are 7 or 14 days in length only, and are scheduled Wednesday to Wednesday.

Urgent overnight stays cannot be accommodated. Currently, ONS is scheduling stays 6-10 months after Caredove appointments.

Due to the high volume of referrals, earlier Caredove appointment requests cannot be accommodated.

Visitors must schedule a visit in advance to ensure adequate visiting space is available. Visitors will need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses), don a mask, undergo a Rapid Antigen Test, and a COVID-19 Screener upon each visit. Virtual visits can be arranged.

Please contact Home and Community Care Support Services for more information on how to apply (519-748-2222) or for more information on the program offerings, please contact Kelly Sproule at 519-893-8494 ext 6307.
