Addictions Clinic
Provides diagnosis, counselling and treatment by a team who are experts in addictions. Typical concerns include substance use or gambling.
Affordable Housing
Affordable housing for people with low to moderate income that is owned or administered by the Region. Includes apartment buildings, townhouses, semi-detached, and single family homes.
Art Therapy
Creating, viewing and talking about art to provide a way to cope with difficult thoughts, such as a new diagnosis, or address traumatic experiences.
Care Coordination - On Site
Integrates health and social services by facilitating referrals and access to service across agencies. Supports care by providing follow-up after hospitalization or emergency room visits, or after specialist assessments.
Dietitian Consultation
Individualized nutrition counselling. Normally provided by a Registered Dietitian.
Financial Assistance
Provides financial assistance, such as government aid programs or charitable grants, to meet special needs. (e.g., home adaptation programs, home energy, medical equipment, holocaust survivors, etc.)
Fitness Group
Exercise sessions where participants develop physical fitness and/or skills within a defined sport. May be either beginners or advanced.
Health Education Classes
Provides education to participants to make choices that may improve wellness or reduce risks of disease. May focus on specific diseases or specific lifestyle issues (e.g. healthy eating).
Individual Advocacy
A service that promotes, protects and secures a person’s rights. Often involves empowering people to become an advocate for themselves.
Individual/ Family Counselling
Guidance or advice aimed at better managing a challenging situation or to resolve personal problems. Includes mental health and addictions counselling.

Seniors Gentle Exercise (Virtual)Provided at homeProvides exercise to improve cardio respiratory levels, muscular strength and balance. Available virtually wherever the client is, as long as they have access to the internet.
Support Group
In-person meetings where members provide each other with help for a particular life challenge. Often involves relating personal experiences and providing sympathetic understanding. May be clinician or volunteer-led.
Transitional Housing
Shorter term residential programs offering tailored support for people in specific transitional circumstances (including crises) in order to increase capacity to maintain housing stability over the long term.
