Description:
The Home Help program matches seniors who are unable to carry out homemaking tasks, with a homemaker who can assist with light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping and meal preparation. The client pays $44 per 2-hour visit directly to the homemaker. A visit including grocery shopping is $49 per 2-hour visit (to cover the cost of gas). Homemakers cannot assist with transportation.
Program operates within the City of Guelph.

Bathrooms, Bed Making or Linen Changing, Bedrooms, Closets, Dusting, Ironing, Kitchen and Appliances, Laundry, Meal Preparation, Mopping & Sweeping, Organizing, Seasonal Cleaning, Vacuuming, Washing Floors

Insurance:
Homemakers are brokered, they do not have insurance through Guelph Independent Living. Homemakers are not bonded. It is client's responsibility to cover any injury or damages that may occur during homemaking.
Cost to Client:
$44 per 2-hour visit, additional visit hours are available for $22 per hour (heavy/seasonal cleaning is available for $49 per 2-hour visit)

Criteria:
- Client's home must be safe for brokered homemakers, homemakers are not employees, and do not have WSIB or insurance. Homemakers do not provide heavy, biologicals cleaning, or hoarding cleaning.
- By requesting a homemaker, the Client acknowledges and understands that they are accepting responsibility for any claims for damage or injury to Homemaker.
