Description:

The Outpatient Mental Health Program offers both non-urgent and urgent short-term intervention outpatient services. The program provides psychiatric assessment, consultation, and pharmacological intervention. Individual and group psychotherapy may be available depending on assessment and referral from psychiatrist. There are no limits for how long a client can access psychiatry, it is up to the discretion of the psychiatrist. For psychotherapy sessions, individual sessions normally range from 12-16 sessions. there are two types of group pyschotherapy programs offered: DBT (one year) and STEPPS (brief DBT-informed group, 12 sessions).

Minimum Age: 16 yrs
Criteria:
  • Client is resident of LLG
  • Client must not have severe developmental or cognitive disabilities or dementia
  • Client must be over the age of 16
  • Client must not already be connected with an external psychiatrist
