Description:

Comprehensive assessment and counselling is offered in both individual and group formats for anyone experiencing problems regarding gambling, (i.e. casino, horse-racing, sports betting, bingo, lottery, scratch and break-open tickets), gaming, or internet use.



Topics covered include: recognizing recreational versus problem gambling, learning basic tactics to cut back and/or stop gambling, identifying triggers leading to relapse and making lifestyle changes. Counsellors assist individuals to choose and achieve their goals.



Family members or friends concerned about someone else’s gambling/gaming behaviour can obtain information and support by phone, individual consultation or group counseling.

Individuals in the Region of Waterloo who are concerned about gambling, gaming or problematic internet use. Self referral only.
