Our goal is to identify permanent hearing loss as early as possible. We aim to screen babies under 1 month of age. This service is available to permanent residents of Ontario until the age of 2 months old (corrected age).

Nous visons à identifier la perte auditive permanente le plus tôt possible. Notre objectif est de dépister les bébés avant l’âge d’un (1) mois. Ces services sont offerts aux résidents permanents de l’Ontario jusqu’à l’âge de 2 mois (âge corrigé).

- We do our best to screen babies before they turn 4 weeks old. Babies are only eligible for screening up until 8 weeks of age. Occasionally, more than one appointment is needed to complete testing. A first visit before 4 weeks old gives us time to complete all testing before they age-out. Older babies are also less likely to sleep through this test (and a sleeping baby is key to complete screening). If your baby will be older than 4 weeks on the appointment date you have chosen, please use the “Back” button below and choose an earlier appointment date.
