Description:
The Prosthetic and Orthotic Clinic is an outpatient service that provides
assessments of for the prescription of a prosthesis (artificial limb) or an orthosis (orthopaedic brace) to improve the mobility, independence, and quality of life of patients we serve. The clinic provides patients with follow-up assessment for those who currently use prosthetics or orthotics.
The clinic is an Assistive Devices Program (ADP) registered service. ADP will partially fund the cost of approved assistive devices.

Eligibility Criteria
Criteria:
Individuals who have lost a limb due to an accident or illness and who require an artificial limb - Individuals with neurological and musculoskeletal disorders whose mobility and independence can be improved by the use of a brace. The clinic does not accept referrals for diagnoses where either prosthetic or orthotic prescription is not a reasonable or possible recommendation following assessment.
