Description:

ABI Connexion is a support group for families and caregivers of an ABI survivor.



Kitchener series:
- Location: The Opportunity Centre, 450 Westheights Drive, Unit 18
- Two evenings per month
- One theme per evening
- Attend all or a selection of evenings
- Facilitator: Kathryn Wagner, Social Worker
- Traverse Community Facilitators will provide group based activities for the ABI survivor



Guelph series:
- Location: St. Joseph’s Health Centre, 100 Westmount Road
- Two evenings per month
- Topics discussed: taking care of yourself, changing family roles, managing stress and emotions, effective communication skills, local ABI resources
- Participants register to attend the entire series
- Meeting supervised or facilitated by Dr. Emma Guild, Neuropsychologist
