The “On Track” First Episode Psychosis program is a community service of the Ottawa Hospital. We provide care to people aged 16 to 35 who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis. Working with patients and their families, we provide mental health treatment, education, case management and many other essential services that help people with psychosis. Patients referred to On Track are quickly given a screening assessment. Based on this assessment, they might be offered treatment in On Track or they might be referred to other programs or resources.
Where appropriate, the doctor who referred the patient is expected to stay involved with the patient and to accept the patient back into his/her practice when the program is completed. FEP offers treatment for up to three years.
