Description:

The Caregiver Support Program is designed to train, educate and peer mentor you, the Home Caregiver, as you provide care for a family member, friend, neighbour or someone in need. This is not a P.S.W. course or workshop.



As a Caregiver, getting the correct information and support is one of your most important needs in providing care at home.



The program is delivered in 2 workshops, each dealing with a different aspect of the Caregiver's role, and needs:



Patient’s Personal Care
Social Resources and Advanced Care Planning
Safety and Community Resources



Emotional Support and Stress Relief
Spiritual Care and Grief Support, Resources



These free workshops are approximately 2 1/2 hours long and offered at our Gage Street office. Registration is necessary.

Eligibility Criteria
Criteria:
This program is open to any Caregiver who is providing care or foresees caring for an individual suffering from a chronic, life-limiting illnesses or condition related to aging. Caregivers can include family members, partners, parents, children, and close friends.
