Service Details
Description:
Individual COPD self-management education offered by a Certified Respiratory Educator for those with COPD who are unable to attend COPD Activation program. Education topics include but are not limited to: pathophysiology, medications, importance of exercise, lung attack avoidance and management strategies and smoking cessation (if applicable). Spirometry is done as indicated/appropriate.
Airway Clinic staff will consider referrals to other SMGH Respiratory programs as appropriate

Eligibility Criteria
Criteria:
Patients must have a confirmed diagnosis or be at risk for development of COPD
