              Description:
            
            Groups are available to adults living with the effects of an acquired brain injury. The objective of the group is to provide a safe, comfortable and supportive atmosphere in which to learn coping strategies with peers, explore ABI education and opportunities to participate in social/recreational events (i.e. dances, outings, overnight retreats)

                  Minimum Age:
                  16 yrs                
                          
              Criteria:
            
            - Client has a documented ABI.
 - Client requires support from MODC as a result of an ABI.
 - Client is willing to participate in a service that supports the individual to make informed choices based on their cognitive ability.
 - Client is not in receipt of funding IL services through a third party funder.
 - Client is is willing to participate in continued rehab services.
 - Client is unable to have his/her supports delivered through other existing community services.
 - Client has the ability to be safely left unattended for periods of time.
