Beth Donovan Hospice
Category: Support Group
Target Population: Caregiver, Grief
Service Details
Description:

Our peer support program offers trained bereavement volunteers who can follow up with you after the loss of your loved one. They can offer weekly or bi-weekly telephone calls or meetings, for up to one hour a week on an ongoing basis.

They provide a listening and emphatic ear. Each member of our bereavement peer support team has been with Beth Donovan Hospice for at least 2 years, and have experienced loss themselves.

Having a peer support volunteer can be helpful for those who would like to speak with someone who is able to listen with compassion and understanding, who has gone through a loss, and can provide emotional and social support.
