Description:

Are you starting to notice your baby's cues, but still figuring out what they mean? Do you feel uncertain about every cry or squirm, or second-guess how you respond? Does connecting with your newborn feel different than you expected? These experiences can feel overwhelming and discouraging, but it's completely normal to still be finding your way – You've only just begun getting to know this new little person!

Newborn Cues & Connection is a relationship-building session that invites you to slow down, observe, and be curious about your baby. Through guided observation and shared reflection, you’ll begin to discover your baby’s unique strengths, preferences, needs, and ways of communicating. Together, we'll notice how your baby shows you what they’re feeling through their movements, sounds, and expressions; how they respond to voice, touch, and the world around them; and the many skills and abilities they're already developing, including reflexes, movements, and emerging motor skills.

Based on the Newborn Behavioral Observation (NBO) system, Newborn Cues & Connection is not an assessment or evaluation – it's an opportunity to better understand your newborn, support their development, enhance your connection, and strengthen your confidence as a caregiver.
