The RVH Foot Care Service is a professional service provided by a registered practical nurse with specialized training in providing foot care to clients, including those who are considered high- risk for foot complications such as people with diabetes, kidney disease, alterations in sensation and circulation problems.

A visit with the foot care nurse consists of a comprehensive foot health management program. The initial visit will include:

-A thorough health assessment
-Treatment for current foot concerns as well as preventative measures, for example nail cutting and filing, corn and callous care, involuted and ingrown nails
-Education
-Referral, if needed
