Service Details
Description:

A child's Intensive Behaviour Intervention Program is supervised by a Behaviour Consultant. Intervention goals are determined in consultation with the family and a multidisciplinary team. Behaviour Interventionists implement a child's goals and monitors the progress. Reach the Peak uses Naturalistic Developmental Applied Behaviour Analysis which has a strong focus on targeting social skills, functional communication, functional skills and play skills. Goals encompass the full spectrum of development including motor skills, cognitive skills, daily living skills and academic skills. Teaching is done by harnessing children's motivation and using this to positively reinforce target skills. Most children benefit from a combination of home-based and centre-based therapy sessions.
