A psychiatric based service for treatment resistant mood disorders.

Description:
Client must have a primary diagnosis of a treatment resistant mood disorder, including major depressive disorder or bipolar disorder. A client must have trialed a minimum of two antidepressants or anti-psychotics specifically for their mood disorder, at the therapeutic dosage, for an appropriate amount of time. The medication trials must have been discontinued either due to intolerable side effects, or being ineffective at treating the mood disorder. Referrals must be completed by a family doctor, nurse practitioner, or psychiatrist.
