Description:

The Peterborough Lynx – Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI) program is a collaborative support and treatment program between the local branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA HKPR) and Mental Health & Addictions Services at Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC). Lynx provides individual case management, nursing, social work, peer and psychiatric support to individuals aged 14-35 who have experienced first episode of psychosis. The program offers individual sessions, group sessions, and peer supports, which can be available for up to three years. Psychiatric treatment is also offered. The team also organizes community group events for clients in the program.

Other Criteria:
Minimum Age: 16 yrs
Criteria:
  • 14 - 35 age range and are experiencing symptoms of a psychotic disorder
  • Have received either no treatment for psychosis of six (6) months or less for treatment psychosis
