Description:

Psychiatric Assessment Services for the Elderly (PASE) at Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) is a program that offers geriatric mental health assessment, consultation, and education services. Services include:



• Individual assessment to address patients' issues through social work, nursing, and/or psychiatric input
• Education, liaison, and support for caregivers, involved professionals and community agencies
• Recommendation of treatment, services, strategies, or case management
• Psychogeriatric Resource Consultant (PRC) services



Referrals may be made by anyone, although the family physician's agreement is required.

Eligibility Criteria
Other Criteria:
Minimum Age: 65 yrs
Criteria:
  • Individuals who have developed a mental health condition later in life.
  • Located in Peterborough, Haliburton, City of Kawartha Lakes or Northumberland County
  • Living in their own home or in a long-term care facility
