Description:
Attendants help with daily activities such as personal grooming, transferring, dressing, bathing, meals, ventilator and tracheotomy services, and more.
For existing consumers, palliative support can be offered when appropriate.
Where funding and resources are available and in conjunction with personal care, we may help with daily activities such as household management or accompany consumers to medical appointments and special events.
Cost to Client:
This service is funded through the Waterloo-Wellington Local Health Integration Network. There is no cost to receive services.
Eligibility Criteria
Criteria:
- Have a permanent physical disability or acquired brain injury- Be 16 years of age or older - Be a resident of Ontario?- Have a valid health card - Be able to direct his/her care (be capable of managing, determining, and communicating when and how he/she needs assistance and is able to co-operate with this provision)
