Elder abuse is defined as any act that harms a senior or jeopardizes his or her health or wellbeing. Elder abuse can take the form of financial, emotional, physical or neglect.

The Elder Abuse Prevention Coordinator provides confidential elder abuse services that include:
- Intervention, support, consultation, and referral for seniors experiencing abuse
- Short term crisis beds
- Education sessions for seniors, service providers and the community at large
