A newborn hearing screening is strongly recommended and should be completed as soon as possible after your baby's birth. This screening can only be offered to babies 0-8 weeks old.

Although, we often feel as though our baby can hear, it is only through the Infant Hearing Screening that we can be certain. Every year in Ontario, 2 out of every 1000 babies have a hearing loss at birth. If your baby is not hearing well, it can make it harder for them to learn and to talk therefore the earlier you find out the sooner we can help your baby.
