- Must be a resident of North Hastings or have immediate family in area. - Must have a valid Ontario health number issued in his/her name. - Must be on the roster of the Access Centre for North Hastings - Must be in the final stages of a terminal illness.- Admission to the Hospice House will be based on greatest need - Palliative patients in the hospital will be given the option of admission to the Hospice House if no one in the community is at the stage for admission. - A "do not resuscitate" form will be signed as no heroic measures will be taken at end of life.- Clients/family will have a personal interview with a representative of Hospice North Hastings prior to admission.
