Description:
End-of-life care that focuses on quality of life through holistic pain and symptom management and support. Residential Hospice services are extended not just to the individual, but also to family members and supports.
The Hospice's services aim to allow death to occur naturally with comfort, dignity and respect. It neither prolongs life nor hastens death.
Care is delivered 24 hours a day, seven days a week by professionally trained staff, specially trained hospice volunteers, and access to palliative care trained physicians.

16 yrs
Criteria:
- Adults with any life limiting illness and a prognosis of less than three months left to live who choose to receive end-of-life care in a residential hospice. - Must have valid OHIP card. - The Residential Hospice Program is open to individuals who live in or have family members living in the Greater Toronto Area.
