Overview With the support of local businesses and farms, the Community Food Box contains the essentials for healthy eating, which are locally made or grown. The boxes are an affordable way to help families with the rising costs of groceries and for your convenience, they are delivered right to your door. We are continuing to partner with local businesses to bring you a truly community experience. Clients Supported Community Care Durham (CCD) has partnered with local suppliers, including the W. Galen Weston Centre for Food at Durham College, Veggie Shack, Algoma Orchards, Pingles, White Feather Farms, Kawartha Diary and Bun King to stock the Community Food Boxes.
Depending on availability, each Community Food Box may contain:
Fresh eggs from White Feather Farms
Fruits & Vegetables
Whole Wheat Bread
The boxes may also contain recipes and food tips developed by the Community Food Box staff.
