Service Information
Sudbury Infant Hearing Screening Program
Northeast Infant Hearing Program
Category:
Infant Hearing Screening
Service Details
Description:
The newborn hearing screening is fast, free and gives results right away and needs to be completed before babies are 8 weeks old. Hearing loss is invisible and often goes unnoticed. Which is why a hearing screening is so important to determine if a hearing loss is present or not. The impacts of hearing loss can cause delays in your baby's language development, lead to behavioral and emotional delays, as well as learning problems at school. Should their be a hearing loss, the sooner it is diagnosed the sooner the proper supports can be put in place.
