Description:

The Friendly Calls Program is a phone check-in service for adults reporting feelings of isolation and loneliness. Calls are made on a regular basis by trained volunteers who provide supportive listening, social interaction, and emotional support to the client. Friendly calls may also serve as a security check and as a connection to community resources and referrals to professional services. A volunteer will typically spend 30 to 60 minutes talking with each client, but the frequency and duration of calls is based on clients’ needs and expectations.
