A Place Called Home(APCH) operates a 19 bed emergency shelter for men, women and families who are homeless in the City of Kawartha Lakes and County of Haliburton. Shelter residents are provided with meals, laundry and showering facilities and housing support at no cost.

APCH also administers the Winter Emergency Program. If the temperature drops to -10 or below, unsheltered people in our community can reach out to our agency(at the numbers provided above) and we will try and place you either in the shelter or in a motel.
