Description:

This free tele-counselling program is a therapy program for caregivers, friends, and family of people living with dementia. Offered through phone calls, texting, and video appointments, participants will have the opportunity to connect one-on-one with a trained Counselling Therapist to discuss issues they are experiencing and learn coping strategies and tools to help them.

Therapy is about talking through the things that you want to talk about. For example, if someone is feeling overwhelmed, therapy would be a way to talk about feeling overwhelmed. This might mean literally talking about feeling overwhelmed. Or, it could be talking about juggling a lot of responsibilities. It might be about uncertainty- what will my future look like? What will happen to my loved one?
