Description:

Hospice Waterloo Region’s Day Away Programs are designed for people living with a life-limiting illness who would benefit from a weekly social program and connection with others.
The Day Away Program provides:
• A day away from the ordinary each week
• Time to socialize and participate in activities that promote fun and well-being
• Connect with others living with a life-limiting illness and build relationships
• Delicious and healthy food during the program
• An opportunity for caregiver respite, providing time to do what is important for them



The Day Away Program is offered at no cost to the client, and transportation is available to eligible clients. Programs are offered at locations in Kitchener, Waterloo & Cambridge; and are open to individuals living throughout Waterloo Region.

Eligibility Criteria
Other Criteria:
Minimum Age: 21 yrs
Criteria:
Individuals living with a life limiting illness. Client must be able to self-administer any medications, and toilet and feed themselves independently.
