Description:
A Community Support Service providing social and recreational activities over the phone. Clients will participate in small group activities with other participants.
This service brings the community to the client when health or age limit their ability to attend social or recreation programs in community settings.

18 yrs
Criteria:
Seniors or adults 18+ who are unable to attend community based social recreational programs in person due to health, transportation, financial or other barriers or are on the wait list for Adult Day Program or a volunteer visitor in the Friendly Visiting program. WOW is open to individuals living independently in the community including Retirement Homes. Indiviudals living in Long term Care settings who speak French are invited to join the French language WOW sessions. Individuals need access to a phone and be capable of engaging in conversation over the phone.
