Service Details
Description:

Using the SOAR (SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery) process aims to connect eligible adults who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and have a serious mental illness, medical impairment, and/or a co-occurring substance use disorder with the resources necessary to meet their needs. By assisting individuals through every step of the application for disability income benefit programs administered by the Social Security Administration, SOAR specialists increase their clients’ chances of receiving benefits that enable them to afford stable housing and receive the medical treatments they need to support their overall recovery.
