Description:
The Day Hospice programs are designed for clients living with a life-threatening illness, offering them a day out in a supportive and friendly environment. Our Nurse and trained volunteers provide care and support in a home-like environment for guests to have a 'day away' and provide caregivers with some respite.
Transportation with a volunteer driver can be arranged to pick up guests in the morning and bring them home in the afternoon. Everyone congregates in the comfortable living room for morning coffee, conversation and laughter. A full lunch is included and enjoyed by everyone. The day is filled with an array of different activities including our art program, special guests, cards, music and therapies. Space is provided also to have quiet moments and gentle conversation.
The program is held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
