Description:
Youthab's Mental Health Program provides free and confidential counselling and therapy services to youth aged 16-24. Services within HPE (Belleville, Trenton) include assistance with:
- Substance use
- Difficulty coping with life stressors
- Depression
- Anxiety disorder
- Obsessive compulsive disorder
- Survivor of abuse
- Personality disorder
- Eating disorder
- Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
- Anger/Aggression
- LGBTQ2S
Standard program length: 4-10 sessions
Client time commitment (frequency):
- Individual - approximately 1 hour every other week
- Group - approximately 1.5 hours every week
Youthab’s Mental Health program also provides free and confidential case planning services through the Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) program to youth aged 16-24 living in HPE, KFLA, and LLG. To refer a client to a TAY program, please use this listing and make a note indicating to the SPP what area the youth is from (HPE, KFLA or LLG) so the referral can be directed towards the appropriate office.

Clients must present with a cognitive level allowing for some self-awareness and insight to be able to benefit from counselling.
